  • JOB TITLE:       Director of FP & A

    DEPARTMENT: Finance

    REPORTS TO:   EVP of Corporate Finance

    LOCATION:    Hybrid (Remote and onsite in Vienna, VA)

    SCHEDULE:   2 Days a week from home and 3 days a week onsite (9am – 5pm)

We are looking for an individual passionate about renewable energy to join our close-knit, dynamic team who is excited by a high-growth opportunity with a well-funded and rapidly growing organization. The Director of FP&A, reporting to the EVP of Corporate Finance, will be responsible for managing all the FP&A, Treasury and Investor Relations activities for SolaREIT. This role requires experience in preparing short-term and long-term forecasts for the business, delivering presentations to senior leadership and external investors, cash management, and the administration of debt and equity facilities. The Director will be able to review all aspects of the business from a financial reporting perspective. The right candidate will have superior communication and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and processes at once, and attention to detail.

    Core Job Responsibilities:

    Financial Planning & Analysis

    •       Prepare and manage the annual budget, full year forecast, and long-term financial plans.

    •       Track monthly P&L results, cash flow, and build ad hoc financial models.

    •       Prepare and support Quarterly Business Reviews, Board presentations, and Investors’ letters.

    •       Oversee adoption of financial systems and processes.

    •       Maintain investor return models.

    External Reporting, Investor Relations & Debt and Credit Agreements

    •       Support EVP of Corp. Finance with financial reporting and ensure compliance with covenants across all debt facilities.

    •       Manage monthly reporting to debt and equity holders.

    •       Maintain covenant reporting for long-term and short-term financing structures.

    •       Manage debt service processes, restricted cash reconciliations, transfer certificates, and compliance filings.

    •       Maintain Notes Registry and support quarterly debt investor repayments and dividends.

    •       Implement debt management system.

    Treasury Management

    •       Manage company cash positions across multiple accounts.

    •       Partner with closing teams on cash forecasting for upcoming needs.

    •       Execute timely equity and debt draws; maintain leverage reporting across the business.

    Systems & Process Improvement

    •       Support the Corporate Finance team in implementing new tools, systems, and process improvements across departments.

    What You Need to be Successful:

    •       Demonstrated proficiency and success driving smooth closings.

    •       7-10 years of FP&A, treasury, and cash management.

    •       Understanding of project development, construction, and financing risk.

    •       Familiar with Real Estate reporting and valuation technics.

    •       Familiarity with the commercial aspects of contracts required to develop, build, and finance a solar or battery storage project (PPAs, interconnection agreements, site leases, permits, etc.)

    •       Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to build relationships with customers, investors, and executives.

    •       Strong financial modeling skills in excel.

The Transaction Counsel will have the unique opportunity to work with SolaREIT’s partners to close deals and support the deployment of renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented, possess exceptional prioritization skills, and demonstrate a positive, results-driven attitude aligned with a strong commitment to achieving goals. The Transaction Counsel is responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to draft, review, and deliver leases, purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements and other documents on time, forming and maintaining excellent relationships with solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) developers, outside counsel and title companies. We are seeking an individual with experience in real estate and renewable energy development.

    • Draft, review and negotiate documents related to solar and battery energy storage real estate transactions, including leases, easements, and purchase agreements.

    • Negotiate favorable and commercially reasonable terms and conditions in Purchase and Sales agreements and Leases, reflecting the company's interests while mitigating risks.

    • Support due diligence processes for acquisitions.

    • Collaborate with internal teams, outside counsel, and various stakeholders to ensure proper coordination on deals.

    • Support and advise the Company’s Business Development team in its efforts to provide a quick, efficient, and friction-less experience to our customers.

    • Develop and update legal templates, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and maintain compliance.

    • Provide legal support and guidance to other departments within the organization, including finance and asset management, as needed.

    • Support other legal projects on an ad hoc basis.

    ·       5+ years of relevant experience working in real estate transactions with a focus on solar or BESS, both for US projects under US law.

    • Strong analytical skills.

    • Demonstrated proficiency and success driving origination processes.

    • Demonstrated efficient management of legal documents, with on time delivery.

    • JD or LLM from an accredited law school.

    • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

    • High level of proficiency with Office 365.
